Medieval Towns/Guilds
 
 
 
Today you will identify parts of a Medieval Town and how a Guild works.  When you are finished researching you will design a sign that would hang above your town shop.  Directions will be below after you complete your research.

Now that you have studied about Medieval Towns and the Guilds.  You are to choose a business you would want to have in a Medieval Town. Be creative. What might a town need.  You can have a shop or a service.  Using a Word document, use the Shapes to creat your outline of your sign.  Then you are create a picture to reprsent your sign that would hang in your town.  If you choose, you can use paper and pencil instead.

Today you will visit a site to learn about Medieval Shields.  You will then decide a design for your own "coat of arms" that you will make on Medieval Day.  Be sure to pay attention to the different qualities the shields had.  You will write your plan down on your planning sheet provided for you.  When you are finished, you may explore the other sites about the Middle Ages or play some of your favorite Medieval games.

Welcome to Ancient Rome.

1. You are to explore the following sites about Ancient Rome. Using information you learn, you will become an expert in your choice of one topic found below. You and your partner will explore the sites and decide the best way to keep track of the information you want to learn about. Choose one of the topics from the list in the BBC- Primary History on Rome.  Then search information become an expert.  Later you will be presenting your information to the class about what you have learned.  You will use your information to create a project to present what you now know.

Today you will explore different sites to learn about ancient Greek architecture, arts, and philosophers.  Be sure to keep notes on your information you learn about because you will use the information you gather to share later.
